Saturday Cartoons!

When I was a little girl I was always excited for the Saturday cartoons. On Saturday mornings my siblings and i would sneak down and go into the kitchen, get all of the cereal supplies, (cereal, milk, bowl, and spoon), and eat our cereal while watching the littles, He-man, She-rah, Transformers, Inspector Gadget and much much more. On Saturdays it seemed that we won the cartoon pot luck. Now I have my own changitos, and I wanted them to experience that same excitement at least once. So this morning I woke up brought the cereal supplies down to my room and had a Saturday morning breakfast, while watching old school cartoons with my little changitos. I am so glad that I was able to share this experience with them. and let them in on some of the things that I was able to do as a kid. Memories are great to have, and making memories with my changitos is the best gift that I can receive as their mama.

  1. I 'member:) I loved Thundercats and also reruns of Tarzan, Shirley Temple, and the Little Rasquals after the cartoons.

I also remember that it was a treat to get a happy meal from McDonalds. Happy Meals were limited time offers until it became a regular meal in the late 70's early 80's.
