little fingers and little toes

What makes little changos get into everything?
This morning I woke up to the aroma of a nail salon. At first I couldn't see where the smell was comming from, so I started my hunt my busqueda. I looked hi and low and still no sign of where the smell was coming from. Finally I searched everywhere except the upstairs. Making my way up the stairs I took another swiff and the smell was even more intense. When derepente you know all of a sudden there I was standing, and looking at the culprit sitting on my mothers nice comforter with bottle in hand. Red, Red, Red all over the bed spread, her little fingers and toes including part of her leg. How could this happen where was the adult. Oh yeah waking up! There I stood hands crossed with the half empty bottle wandering what I should and how in the world I was going to get this kind of a stain out. This kind of thing had never happend to me and I wasn't about to give up on a stain. Madres know how to take out stains, I mean most moms are pros right. This was going to be a huge challange. So I binged and googled "how to remove nail polish from a comforter". To my surprise something came up, but there was no solution. I tried it all and if I were to have the bannana oil or the dry cleaning powder I would have also used it.
So like any good fight. The nail polish won and stayed in the comforter.

Tip#2
Keep your nail polish locked up if you have little fingers who like to paint!

Thank You 2010 for IKEA

Thank you 2010 for Ikea! What a brilliante place to spend a Saturday afternoon. My brother and his wife decided to take a trip to Ikea. They invited me and like any typical family invite, and the true latina that I am I invited my girls. You know the saying the more the marrier. So I packed up the ghetto van and headed to Ikea with my Changitos and girls. When we finally arrived to Ikea I called my bro. to see where they had parked and only like Ikea does it, who can get lost. Even their parking is lettered so there is no losing cars or familia. So I finally found my bro. he was parked in the family section. Que! Ya se a family section, I couldn't believe it a place to park the ghetto van. As we approached the first Free item of the day was the childrens station it was booked so we loaded up all of my changos including my bros. in carts and wwere on our way racing to get to the elevator! IKEA here we come! I was in total material bliss. What a temptation! I wanted it all. Just look at the colors, textures, where do I begin. I love that set up and oh look over here. Even my changos were excited. All of a sudden as if calling my name over and over. "I am over here don't leave me". Amor! Amor! It was love at first sight. A craft room of my dreams. For all of those who know me. I love crafts! Anyways we roamed for our treasures through the vast store of Ikea. Lost some of our crew a few times, but Gracia a ..... we had cell phones. The best part of Ikea was the food! Today was the last day that Kids eat FREE! That's right Gratis! Those words are so fabulous to my ears. I was able to feed my changitos and me for less than $8.00 including tax.
So the next time I go to Ikea I will be sure to take my crew, go during the week, and see if they are feeding kids under 12 for free.
Amo a Ikea!

Starting 2010

Today as you know is the first day of 2010, and I am so excited. Estoy Feliz!

As I glance back to see the accomplishments that my changitos and I have been able to conquer their are many. At the begining of last year I told my self that 2009 was going to be a great year despite of all the drama that we caused my momma! Living with parents is a whole different ball game. When at the same time you try to teach and raise your own kids those simply yet complicated rules. Muy Intersante! It's a once in a life time experience, and those who have lived with their parents and kids at the same time know what it takes to keep the peace. There were also many exciting times. Celebrations, Fiestas, Deaths and of course one of my changitos favorite times late night snack ( Graham crackers and milk) Sabroso! In 2009 I came to realize that my changitos had made a resoulution of there own. They had made a pack with each other to never stay the same size. These changitos stretched out so much that everytime I looked at them it was as if the dryer was set on extra shrink. They are like tiny weeds sprouting at every hem. It was amazing, and of course with my small changitos on the rise, their ability to learn was very impressing from the oldest to the smallest ever so amazing!

So now what? The snow will eventually melt, the flowers will start to grow, the heat will return, the leaves will fall and blow, and the snow will set once more. May 2010 have great thing in store for this family of changitos, and have many blessing for all of your families as well. Nuestras adventuras seran unicas y desfrutadas. I am truely looking forward to a fabulous year.

HAPPY NEW YEARS!
¡FELIZ ANO NUEVO!
